Do any of you guys know of a source for copper-finished hardware? I seem to recall some discussion of that on the forum some time back...Thanks for any info you can give me...G

I have purchased copper finished tuners.  They say GROVER but are likely asian knockoffs.  They function well enough.  I have used them with a copper floyd.  This is real and a finish available from Floyd Rose.  I managed to find knobs on ebay.  Picked up covers are from an AXL guitar.

If you find a good source...let us know.  Stuff is hard to find

The pennys only cost me 2 cents.... :laughing8:

Schaller catalogs most of their hardware in copper, but it's next to impossible to get. You'll probably have to order factory direct.

Yea, from what I've heard, they don't import them to North America for distribution, but I have seen them for sale on European websites.

In speaking directly with Floyd Rose, they told me that if I wanted to get a matching set of Copper tuners to match the Floyd, to do so with them at the time of order and they can get them from Schaller.

knobs.  Lots of schaller stuff from germany on ebay too.  Cost is about $15 per knob shipped

I have ordered Schaller parts that I could not find in the U.S. from this store in the U.K.

http://www.touchstonetonewoods.co.uk/

I have ordered from them twice and both times the parts were in my mailbox within one week.  Hell, that's better than some shops in the U.S. pull off.  There website is not the easiest to manipulate through and I finally gave up and just called them.  Really nice folks and I highly recommend them...

Good luck &  :rock-on:

I ordered these from the schaller page direct from Germany and it took about 5 weeks to get. I know they do come in copper too. It is amazing looking in my opinion  :toothy11:

With current exchange rates, the copper is about $212 US Dollars, whereas chrome is about $177. This is only a $35 difference, and even with dealer markup, that's not a bad price for a unique looking Floyd. Is there a crazy international shipping charge or something?

I don't remember a crazy shipping charge. They used DHL if I remember and it was only 10 euros. I don't have my receipt anymore so I am not a 100% sure though. I did write them before I purchased and a guys named Lars wrote me back in understandable English.  They had good service for me.

Thanks, guys, much appreciated...guess I'll just keep looking--I don't do Floyds(...easy, there, Doug...).

What I did go with is a Bladerunner in what they call a ''Hot Rod'' finish. Dumb name, but the finish looks to be a sort of aged, scorched, black chrome, and who-knows-WTF kinda thing...we'll see. And, I have to decide what the other hardware finish will be in order to 'go' well with that.

I was curious what a "hot rod" finish was, too. So, I looked it up on their site and found this...

...and was reminded of what the block side of chromed exhaust headers look like on hot rods and motorcycles. Super-heated chrome. Not sure what would match with that, but since it's kinda iridescent, probably just about anything would.

That's kinda cool the more I look at it...
I am more of a hard tail kinda guy, but I could see a bridge like that on the right build  :headbang1:
Thanks for the pic Cagey!!!

That "hot rod" looks sort of like case hardened steel, like on on some firearms.

Alas, the pickups are gonna be P90s w/creme plastic covers...which is what I wanted from the start.
