It all come down to the initial artwork and the skill of the artist, of course - just buying a set of pens doesn't guarantee anything. Aniline wood dye is very little different than fountain pen ink, or even RIT dyes or food coloring - it's what you do with it. RIT has a color mixing guide:

Lets say the poplar bodies are going to be popular a lite sand on with the primer and away you go.

When I type "soldier" it almost always comes out first as "solider" ... I guess I must type "solid" more often than "soldier." I even had to think of it just then...  :icon_biggrin:

Definitely cool, good work with shading. It's hard to get that 3D effect with pens..reminds me of Zoidberg's Futurama guitar...
