Conversion neck question

I'm confused about Gibson conversion necks and how they impact intonation and bridge placement. I cut my own Explorer-style body from a Potvin Guitars template. The templates come with a 25.5" neck template, but I plan to purchase a Warmoth neck for the build. Could I use a Warmoth Gibson conversion neck without relocating the bridge placement?

If the body complies with a Fender spec for neck pocket and bridge, then the conversion neck is designed to work with a 25.5" bridge placement. Hence, the term conversion.

Thanks, I assumed that was the case. Tell me more about "Fender spec for bridge." The neck pocket is a standard strat pocket. But I'll be putting a TOM style bridge on the Explorer body. Will the conversion neck no longer work in this case?

Conversion necks are designed to work on Fender bodies that were designed for a 25-1/2" scale. AKA Stratocasters and Telecasters. If your body conforms to those specs our conversion neck will work. In other words, if your body has the same bridge placement, neck pocket placement, and neck pocket dimensions as a Fender Strat or Tele, our conversion neck will work.

The kind of bridge you use doesn't matter, as long as it is in the proper Fender location in relation to the neck pocket. You'll need to verify this with Potvin Guitars, since they are the ones who made the template you're using.
