My Half-Moth

Warmoth Pro birds-eye neck
6105 Frets
Northern (Hard) Ash body
OFR
SD '78 pup (EVH)

I commissioned the building of this guitar about 6 yrs ago and the paint/relic'ing and assembly was done professionally for me. Unfortunately I did not assemble it, but it's cool none the less as a tribute to one of my heroes.   :icon_thumright:

Nice, since I got my new camera I'll get some shots of my white Strat. Post them up tonight if I can.

Ok, I submit my latest Gecko for consideration.

I'll take some better pictures shortly.  :)

That's awesome.

There was a Turquoise bass in the Gecko section with a Pau Ferro board that I really liked as well.
Pau Ferro (or whatever similar looking wood you've got there) and blue just work so well together.

And I love single pickup basses too.
Mine now has two pickups, but I usually only use the bridge pickup.

Mine is Bubinga.  For the turquoise Gecko, do you mean this one?

If so, I agree.  In fact the neck used to be mine, before I sold it to him.  The body finish turned out very nicely.  He'll probably submit it next month, or whenever we hold another "owner finished" contest.

Gorgeous, now and before.

Oh my.

I really wish they made Gecko necks in Padouk.  People at Warmoth, if you ever find some Padouk that's suitable for making a Gecko neck blank, please call me.  Please.  :help:

Hey, wait a minute...
I thought the Warmoth website only listed Maple and Wenge for Gecko necks, but then on the other hand, I've seen your Geckos with just about every wood combo.
Were all of your Gecko necks special requests?

Most of my Gecko necks were Showcase specials, which I simply ordered with fretless lines.  Only one was a special order of a non-standard wood, which the good people at Warmoth were able to find for me.  It will arrive in a few weeks, and I'll expect you'll see a few more of them here and there.  :)

Padouk has been one of the woods that I've never seen (so far) as a Gecko.  Here's a list: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=9208.0

I love it OCGUY106...how do you have that thing wired...looks like a massive stacked knob on there

wired like a 50's les paul. 2 vol 2 tone. the stacked knob is a concentric pot for both tones.
