Cleaning up an f-hole

My new Thinline body arrived yesterday and it's all very nice except around the inside edge of the f-hole there's this odd chalky white substance. Most of it I've been able to flake off but there's some stuck where the finish hasn't been sanded down much in the f-hole either.
Just wondering what the best way to deal with this is. I would just sand it down to get rid of it and smooth the finish off too, but of course being an f-hole some areas of it are very narrow and a bit hard to sand easily. Wondering if anyone's got any in-the-know tips on how to clean and smooth it out.

That sounds like rubbing compound.  Take a Q-Tip and wet it in Benzene, or Lighter Fluid (it’s all the same thing) and wipe it off.  It won’t hurt the finish and should take it right off.

Would rubbing alcohol do the trick, or is it not strong enough?

Could this possibly get more immature? Seriously people, there's no reason for that. None whatsoever.

By the time it got immature, you had already recieved the best possible answer, unless you count the curry remark.  Or shall I say, "re-Mark O?"

Rimshot please.

hahaha, sorry
oh and that was really a very hard to explain inside joke between luke and I.
