Well, I tried gold and silver up against the body.  I guess my color blindness is showing itself, because I think the gold with the black pups looks good.  That said, I changed all the hardware for gold.  Love it even more!

Colorblindness aside, FWIW I took this in last week for a setup and fret dressing.  Like my Strat that I took in, OMG, what a killer guitar.  Love the playability and the action and the tone.

After seeing the "Tele Owners Unite" thread in the Off Topic section, I looked back through this one and realized I never posted a pic with the gold hardware.  I posted it in that thread, but to be complete, I'll put it here as the finished build.  I personally think the gold hardware has a subtle pop to it.

I think the gold looks really good, although the black might have provided some contrast.
