Hi all,
If you know of a current production case that will fit a WGD please let me know.  looking to spend around 100.
I will probably have to mail order so I'd like to get the proper fit first time.  It will not fit in a strat or les paul case - tried my friends cases.
The last topic addressing this was from 7 yrs ago so i don't know if cases have changed since then.

Thanks a lot.

When you say it won't fit in a Strat case are you talking about a form fitting interior one or an open style case?

Wolfie - they were fitted or shape specific for strat and LP.

Cagey - sorry but your link doesn't open to anything.
looks like lower bout is 13.5 " wide, body and probably need one about 3" deep for the TOM bridge setup.

Thanks- still looking.

Sorry about that. Try here. That's the Strat/Tele case, which going by their dimensions should fit your WGD.

just tried an old black Fender case with a tele in it - like the one in cagey's post with the open square area for the body - - No go - the bottom of the WGD too wide by about an inch.

If you go back to that site, they also have those same cases for ES-335s which are wider.

I remember when trying to find a case for my L6S I had no luck for the same reason - everything was a bit too narrow. Ended up with an ES-335 case that the thing just swims in.

Yeah thats what i'm worried about - too big could be a bad thing.

Looks like there are so-called "widebody" cases for PRS and jaguar guitars - this might be the ticket

or thiis

Going to look into these - will let you know how it goes.

I wish I'd seen those "widebody" cases for jags and jazzmasters before. Those look like they'd work perfectly. The PRS version is too narrow (for an L6S, anyway). Gonna have to order one.

Gonna call gator and SKb tomorrow and see what they say.

A friend of mine in college had an L6S and it was one of the most wonderful guitars i've ever played.  He had a hard case for it so they were/are around - it was a guitar-shaped case (not rectangular).
good luck finding one!

Yeah, they only made cases for that guitar that fit it exactly, so there's no such thing as new ones (unless you order it custom for $450) and the only way to find a used one is if somebody lost the guitar but not the case.
