Canary Neck Strength

I was thinking about ordering a 7-string neck made out of Canary wood and was wondering how Canary wood holds up under tension.

I assume it'd be fine, but was wondering if anyone had tried it.

Absolutely. I've a decade+ old telecaster with a warmoth canary neck - no issues at all.

If I could rationalize/afford the cost, Canary is the one exotic wood I would love to try for a neck. See what I did there?

I have had a Canary neck for about a year now, and for sure my NEXT neck shall be Canary too... very stable and great sounding wood IMO

Canary is higher in all hardness, bending, breaking, and less shrinking than your garden variety hard maple.

My personal fave Warmoth build but never buy is canary (light) fingerboard on a darker neck like walnut or rosewood.
