Hi,

This is my latest warmoth build : great guitar, light, perfect sound...

Body : canary/mahogany, chambered, tru oil finish i did myself (10 layers, micromesh polished, then wax). Warmoth tremolo with graphtec saddles.

Pickups : 2 dimarzio pro track and tone zone, one seymour duncan  Alnico Pro II APS-1N Pickup.

Neck : canary ebony with 6105 SS frets, liberon tung oil finish (6 layers) with micromesh, then birchwood casey wax.

High quality parts and great guitar.  :icon_thumright:

That's awful purty.  Nicely done.  Simple simon, gotta hand it to you - no more than what needs to be there.

I wished to keep it simple !

Even selector is only 3 ways ...

Back routing and single coil size pickups shows great canary top.

Lovely guitar, nicely done! The only tiny, minor, piddling nit I can pick is not with your build at all. I just wish the pickup manufacturers would leave their name off the visible part of the pickup!

Gorgeous. I'm planning something similar with Canary/Ebony for my next neck.

Welcome to the board BTW.

Very nice, but you shoulda left the tung oil off the neck..It doesn't need it...And it just feels better raw.... :icon_thumright:

Raw canary is great, but it attracts dirt. Neck gets cleaner with tung oil, that reveals wood and prevents dirt from going into the wood.

About pro track : big bass level, not muddy at all.

Tone zone is perfect for bridge, and it has to be leveled real close from strings to sound perfect.

For me this is THE choice for single size bridge humbucker.

For standard size at bridge position my choice is Di marzio evolution 2 or duncan tb6.

At first i thought i would place pro track in middle position, but forum reports said that it is at its best in neck position, so i moved on.

Best surprise was duncan in middle position, what a great single coil ! With enough level to fit with single size humbuckers.

Clear over mahogany is so pretty. If I had any doubts before, seeing this shot makes me more than willing to do it should I ever do another guitar needing a mahogany body.

Beautiful guitar.
The white knobs & switch don't really go well with the black pickups. I'm thinking black or chrome would look better.

Just gorgeous! Fine piece of work! How are those Planet Waves tuners working?

I agree with Mr. Avenger - black knobs would fit in better overall.

Lovely ax. I love the look of canary and mahogany. What made you decide to put a finish on the neck?

Planet waves are OK, and don't hurt fingers when locking like sperzel do ....

I finished neck to prevent dirt build on raw wood, and i like tung oil smell !
