because I really dig a lot about this guitar, but I don't think I'd want to live with a 24 inch scale for very long.

I've heard of conversion necks to make them 22" scale, but never the other way around. I would guess that such a thing could be made, but either nobody currently does or if they do then it's a very well-kept secret. Of course you could strip the body, fill in the old bridge post holes, drill new ones further back and fit a longer scale neck, but then you'd also be drastically changing the tone of the bridge pickup and it'd be an awful lot of work when custom Jazzmaster bodies are already around.

What you want to do really is make a Jazzmaster. You could make a Jazzmaster that was was exactly like that Jag bar the chrome control plate - if that's an important enough feature to you then I'm sure you could get one made to Jazzmaster size, hack off the bottom of the JM pickguard and stick the control plate in there.

Jazzmasters are available rear routed and with any bridge option. I wouldn't mind a pickguard, just not the funky jazzmaster pickguard. (But then again, more strat like is probably not what you're going for. I'd like it though)

Actually, I played with one of those. and the  72 tele deluxe

And both had these really wide feeling, full necks. but the TOM and the body of the Jag was a nicer fit.

the scale of the jag was not.

I honestly would like the jag to just fit like it does. but add the length of that 72,

perfect fitting guitar. i wouldn't care how accurate the pickguard was.

just want that fit.

(not perfect looking, but perfect fitting.)

I think I read that the 24" Jaguar neck would work on a Warmoth 7/8 Strat or Tele body. If that's the case, then the 24 3/4" neck for those bodies must also work with the Jaguar. It's still not 25.5" (you could go with a Jazzmaster to get that), but it's a little longer and you get 24 frets.

Yes a Warhead neck would fit on that body making it 24 3/4" scale, (Gibsonish). As an option, you can order a Warhead neck as a paddle head shape too.

Does that mean 3x3, or just 13 degree tiltback 6 inline?

Straight paddle head what I was eluding to. But we can do a tilt back paddle head as well. What you do with the tuner holes is up to you.

I'm not usually the biggest fan of solid black finishes, but something about Jags in black is just hot.

I honestly never realized the Jazzmaster is 95% identical to the jaguar. now that I know. I can live with the JM.

built kinda like this. though I wonder if the TOM would go through the pickguard, or if the pickguard is routed to go around it.

+1 on the Jags in Black - but I generally like black guitars anyway.  Case in point - my Charvel win:
