Hi guys, I have a special request - can somebody with a deluxe 5 bass measure how long the 22-fret neck is, from nut to the end of the pocket? I'm guessing 25" but I need to be exact so I can specify the pickup placement for my short-scale, fretless design. I want the EMG "40" size rout to be between 26.5" and 28" from the nut - (center point of 27.25" with a 1.5" wide pickup route). Warmoth needs the measurement from the pocket - another way to see it is, how far is the bottom of the neck pocket from a theoretically-perfect 34" bridge? 11"? Thanks. I'm emailing back and forth to Spike, but this may speed things up a bit, especially if I have to send $45 more to "move" the pickup. It looks to me, in the gallery, that the neck pickup location for jazz basses is different than for others - it's going on a custom G5 body.
Can somebody please measure their deluxe 5 bass for me?
