Can anyone recommend a good guitar painter?

Sadly, Warmoth won't paint my body since I didn't get it from them, even though I got my neck from them, and all my other bodies.

I really wanted them to paint it in a honey burst color, but alas, that won't be happening.

Does anyone know a very good, highly reputable, and trustworthy guitar painter? I can obviously find tons of them via a Google search, but I'm just hoping to hear from people with personal experience.

Thanks in advance!

This really should be a sticky.

Tonar!

Tonar is a forum member and master painter who specializes in vintage bursts.  I've had four Tonar painted guitars, in fact I'm holding one as I type this.  They have all been spectacular.  A word of caution:  He only paints in nitro, which is not as durable as a warmoth finish.  In fact I've worn a hole in the top of one of my tonar guitars.  Does not detract from the beauty of the instrument one bit IMHO.

Ahhh, that's a bummer. I want to avoid nitro because of how quickly it's worn out on previous guitars I've owned in the past.

Just to put things into perspective, I've probably got 2000 hours of playing on that particular instrument.  My three other Tonars are scratch free.

Guitar Groomer (Avi) in Woodland Hills, California. He's finished 3 Warmoth's of mine. All outstanding.
