Can anyone direct me towards a wiring diagram for an HH p2 and p4 parallel super switch setup?

I have a standard Oak Grigsby superswitch in my HH guitar right now, and I am really interested in getting a neck parallel tone and maybe even a bridge+neck parallel tone. I was wondering if anyone here had a diagram for rigging up a superswitch so I don't have to buy one of the Ibanez proprietary ones to at least get the neck parallel setting.

I am trying to get:
1 - Bridge
2 - Bridge (parallel) + Neck (parallel) OR inner coils (parallel)
3 - Bridge + Neck
4 - Neck (parallel)
5 - Neck

Is this possible with a 4-pole 5 way superswitch? I am pretty handy with soldering but I haven't been able to wrap my head around how I would wire to get this setup. I would honestly prefer position 2 be Bridge (Parallel) + Neck (Parallel) instead of inner coils, but I'll take what I can get at this point. I will buy the Ibanez switch for p2 inner coils if I have to. Maybe some kind of mod based on this diagram to add bridge+neck parallel to position 2?

Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide! Been lurking for years but never needed to post until now. I'd be happy to buy someone a coffee or something if you could help me out (hopefully not against TOS, I will remove that comment if it is lol).

Check out the free 3b3-01 switch, they have a series / parrallel scheme, and then you can add a switch to split the pickups. Not exactly what you're looking for, but if you write to the Freeway people, they might have an off menu diagram.

Thanks, I've thought about just getting a 3 way and replacing a pot so I can just do a 3way with coil tap, which is what my other HH guitar has. Ideally I'd like to avoid ordering more parts but I'm not opposed to it as a last resort.

I have what you are looking for. It uses Duncan color codes so you will have to convert for your pickups. In order to get inner/outer coils as hum canceling, you will need to likely flip the neck pickup around. Thats what I do to get the correct polarity in the right place.

These replicate the Ibanez 2502N switches on a regular super 5 way. The push/pull version makes position 2 go from inner coils to parallel bridge.

In my experience, the inner coils sounds very close to the humbuckers wired in parallel and then both on so I dont bother with that option in my guitars.

Wow, this is perfect. I’m replacing a (dying) Schaller mega switch which was wired to have position 2 as outer coils and position 4 as inner coils, both hum canceling, So I would imagine I won’t need to change the neck pickup orientation. I searched around online for a solid week and couldn’t find any wiring diagrams for this setup, but I knew somebody here might have it.

Thank you so much!

Likely you wont need to. This doesnt have the outer coils option. I tried it in a guitar and I didnt care for it so I never recorded the diagram for it.

I also really do not care for the outer coils option, I don’t think I’ve ever ended up preferring it to inner coils. That’s why I was interested in neck parallel for position 4, which is much more in line with the tones I would end up using.

Yknow… I’m starting to think you work for Freeway in the same way @Spud is now on the Wilde payroll
