Nice guitar, I love it....definantly a head turner, I have always liked a strat neck on a tele body.....the matching headstock really makes it pop, I also really like the dot less neck look, though for me I rely too much on sight to go that route....sweet strat tele combo.  :icon_thumright:

Click on the Earth symbol that says "insert hyperlink" when you scroll over it, then place your URL between the Squares where the flashing line appears...though you may have to save it to a hosting site like photobucket and use their link.....I always save to photbucket and then paste the URL they designate for each pic from there,  it last for years,.....as long as you dont move your pics from their original location.
thats the way I do it, there may be simpler ways... :dontknow:

well at least you can see the pics if you follow the link...

thanks for the help "lucky"...i will try it once the kids are down for the night...

gotta go, babies have to be fed...there is no negotiating with an 11 month old...lol

BTW it's still a tele. Because otherwise EBMM or G might sue claiming it's an LP or a Wolfie. :)

Right click picture in Flickr, choose size desired, right click again, 'view image' then use that link.  Also putting it in  bbc code img tags helps.

Here's your pics:

Thanks Autobat... :headbang1:

Swarfrat...it's not obvious, but the mm eb axiis was the inspiration for this build.  i took some liberty with the choices...of course...hey, i had to make it "mine"...

i can't do a floyd...no offence to any fans...i...just...can't...they say they don't go out of tune...i can't get them in tune...lol...

i originally had a tone zone/36th anniv planned for this build...switched my mind at the last second after reading all the great testimonials from the forum here for BKP.  Tim was a pleasure to deal with.  I can't possible even attempt to describe how musical these pickups are...they are brilliant.

Question for the forum:  The guitar came back from the local luthier for assemble and set up, and the neck pick up is backwards (i think).  The screw coil is supposed to be the other way right?  It sounds great as is...i just wonder what I am missing having it the other way around...Since Tim wound these as a calibrated set, I feel obligated to switch it around so it sounds the way he intended.  Am I thinking too much about this?

Cheers!

its still calibrated as its in the neck position and its calibrated to be a neck pickup, it just means its calibrated to be in the neck position with that Bridge humbucker in the bridge position, some prefer to have the neck adjustment screws closer to the neck the closer you get to the neck the darker the tone or accent on the bass notes...the string vibrates more freely etc. etc..

the way its set up just means a little more mid bite adjustment and less vibration over the screw coil....not a good or bad thing, if you like the way it sounds then leave it, why mess with it....if its gonna bother you then ya gotta switch it around simple as that....either way, I understand due to the sensitivity and clarity of Bare Knuckle pickups it may take a little adjustment in height up or down from the strings to get the optimal tone for your uses...I have heard this more than once....

Its a killer guitar either way.

lucky13...that's why i love this forum...alot of smart folks out there...well, smarter than me about this stuff.

i will leave the neck pickup for now...it does sound sweet as is and it doesn't bother me.  i haven't started raising or lowering the pickup yet.  i really like where it sits right now.  both pickups are very balanced in output.  i actually think the luthier set it up perfect and got it damn near right on money (for my ears anyways).

Regards

Mr. Lucky...
I think you would be surprised what your brain can do!  I had the same concern when I ordered my first neck without inlay.
After a couple days of playing your brain just naturally goes to the side dots and your not even looking for the inlay any longer.
Give it a try and I think you'll like it  :icon_thumright:

Oh yea; you have a real looker  :glasses9: going on with that tele!  Nice work :headbang1:

Thanks for the heads up, yours (the" V") was one of the guitars I had first thought to myself, that the dotless neck looked BAD as in Cool..... :icon_thumright:

yep the balanced part means they are calibrated to switch smoothly from one to the other without too much of a volume difference, as well as match each other nicely in tone for their respective positions....thus calibrated.

Damn, you have impressed me with you Unofficial Warmoth Forum knowledge.  My "V", known to me as Valentina, was my very first Warmoth build.
Yes, she was originally built with a no inlay neck.  Eventually I had a barbed wire inlay done on her.  Still, the inlay has little clear markings of frets as it is one line of barbed wire down the length of the fretboard.
Hear me know, believe me later; you will have no problems reading a neck without inlay.  Your brain will pick up the side dots like that...
Ask for opinions of others with non-inlay necks and I am sure they will agree.

I don't have inlays on one of my VIP necks, and I don't miss 'em a bit. At least one of the upcoming Teles will have a clear 'board, too. Probably both of them. And I suspect the upcoming L5S will also have a clear 'board.

Cagey, I hear ya.  I haven't had any for years...don't need them, don't miss them.  I do use the side dots though for reference quite a bit.  The only good thing about them is for another musician trying to follow you on a song.  My singer plays acoustic, and he has a hard time telling where I am on the fingerboard (bar chords higher up on the fretboard).

It is a super clean look though.  This guitar was going to be super simple.  It was only going to have one volume and a toggle.  The visual asthetics just weren't working for me.  It "needed" three knobs...

i have been following a few of your builds.  The L5S is the binding project (i believe) and I remember a carved top tele you were working on.  Then there is that stunning strat you keep showing off.  I can't remember your VIP though.  I have been following this forum for 5 years (pretty quiet though).  I have seen alot of guitars through here, and I gotta tell ya I get more inspiration from this forum than anywhere else (including the manufacturers).

I can't picture buying a production guitar ever again.

Cheers

If this is wrong. Then who wants to be right?  :kewlpics: :icon_thumright:

I think when most guys think of tele's, they think of twangy single coils.

I have seen a few on this forum (EMG's, Floyds) that are proof otherwise, but most are pretty traditional.

This guitar doesn't do twang!  I wanted a rock machine...
