Callaham strat bridge mounting

Hey, is it common for the bridge screws on a 6 hole vintage tremelo to go all the way through so you can see the tips of the screws when you look under the back plate?
 
I don't know if I'd call it "common", but it's not unheard of. Rout up from the bottom, drill down from the top, not a whole lotta meat left in there.
 
Mine did. It's not a problem.

Obviously not a Callaham bridge, but they are their screws. I believe Warmoth's spring cavity is slightly deeper than vintage spec (5/8").
 
I have had that happen also. I can't say I like it as such even though it still works.

It doesn't happen with two post bridges of course.
