i chose the words of the title very carefully to be ambiguousyet correctky descriptive at the same time...

Let me start with a story first.

Years ago, way before i bought my first warmoth, still below 20 years of age,  ibought a 1976 gibson lp custom 3 pickup. That guitar were to be the benchmark for all to come, for the next years. Unfortunately, my guitars were getting better and better and i got more frustrated with the gibson as time progressed. It survived 3 homes, 6 girlfriends, 3 cats, 3 dead relatives, over 50 other guitars (maybe even more!) but i never sold her off.

Until last monday. Gibsons ridiculous action against warmoth spawned so much anger, i decided i didnt want to play an instrument build by a malafidd company. At first i would have been content keeping it in its case, to be forgotten for eons but a friend of mine popped his head. I was discussing a deal to get his old 2channel dual recto and i suddenly popped: wanna trade your 2001 prs for my 76?!

Sure. He said. Why? Because he was the previous owner!!

Will I loose money? No. Tuners, pots and pickups werent the originals... And the prs is a pre lawsuit, literally, and completely original... I will replace the pickups though. I cant stand these prs pups.

So. I am being solitary with Warmoth in a way ;)

Long tenon. Gibson pay attention! Prs did it right from the start.

Awesome Singlecut! I've got 5 PRS's (1 pre-lawsuit Singlecut and 1 post-lawsuit singlecut) and they are identical haha! So the term "pre-Gibson-Lawsuit" doesnt mean jack! lol! Incredible guitar though, congrats!

Also, I totally agree with you, I don't like PRS's pickups either! I've got Gibson 57's in my older singlecut, and Duncan custom/customs in the newer one, and then a smattering of different pickups in the other guitars, the only PRS pickup I have left is an SC250 bridge pickup that I put into my 2004 Mccarty, I have that one tuned down to Drop C, and it actually sounds good with that pickup.

anyway, enjoy that gorgeous singlecut!
