Hello guys ! I have an old MIM that I stripped and painted a couple of years ago and now it needs a refret. Since my store is asking 400$ (canadians), I was thinking of getting a warmoth neck as I've always wanted a rosewood neck.

Here's my plan and I need to know if it's okay. I plan to install the new warmoth neck on the mim body. I guess I'll have warmoth install the nut unless you guys do not recommend it.

Later on, when the budget will permit, I plan to get an ash body from warmoth and install it on the warmoth neck. Am I gonna be able to reuse the same nut and my MIM bridge with that new warmoth body ?

I'm lost with string spacing so your help would be appreciated !

I upgraded my tremolo block with a callaham one so I'd like to reuse that with the mim saddles to save some cash. The other option would be to just buy the neck and body at the same time and be done with it

First, forget using MIM as a classification.

Measure your current bridge mounting screw spacing. MIM Strats came both with 2 1/16 and 2 7/32. Warmoth only lists 2 1/16.

MIM bridges also came with both 2/16 and 2 7/32 string spacing.  This is fully independent of the mounting Screw spacing.

Callaham sells stuff that can allow you to accommodate your situation and what Warmoth has

Other way round, isn't it? Warmoth's 'vintage' screw spread is 2 7/32".

It may be.  They list as x.x inches and in mms.

The importance of measuring.

Ok so to measure the bridge spacing, I just measure the outer saddles from center to center to know if I'm 2 7/32 or 2 1/16 ?

So I assume if I'm at 7/32, I will be able to reuse all bridge/saddles hardware onto a warmoth vintage body then ?

Measure the screw spacing - that's the thing that will tell you if the bridge will fit

The information you need can be referenced at the link below.

With regard to the question about the nut needing to change, no it would not.
