After 6 builds and owning several Gibsons (a Les Paul, two ES-335's, and American Casino and two SGs) my ultimate build is on the way.
Missing is the p/j bass I own and a Wenge topped Jazzmaster I built for my friend.
But back to the current build.
Jazzcaster solid mahogany body with a p90 in bridge and mini-humbucker in the neck.
The mahogany, Gibson scale dark neck below is coming off Blackie the Strat and will go on the new build. Blackie will eventually get a new neck. Not sure what kind. Blackie has been hard to dial in--an all mahogany strat with Gibson scale is an odd bird. It roars with some gain! I want to take the P-Rail from Brownie--far right--and put on Blackie and then put back the Duncan SH-4 I had in it before. Brownie is a rocker too!
Will use Angelus "cordovan" leather dye on the new body with a mix of "mahogany" and "black" grain filler. Tru-oil, to finish up.
Thanks -- and as you all probably know Warmoth rules them all.
