Brown Truck = 2 boxes

OK, got it together and....bought the wrong no-load pot, should have bought the gnarled(sp) post, not the solid one (dont know what i was thinking), and for some reason, the knobs I bought dont fit anyway, so I reordered the correct parts that will hopefully do the trick.   But after wiring it all up, I'm getting some hum, so I know that there is a wiring issue with this more complex wiring schematic (much more complex then my last one).  I'll put it away for the night and look at it with fresh eyes over the weekend.  I'll post pics once I have it completed, but I am digging the look so far.  Has a slight used vintage look with the cream pups (thanks again Max).

Just a note: The people at DiMarzio are awesome.  I asked for a custom wiring diagram to make sure what I had was correct and within an hour, they had one drawn up and sent back to me.

Turn left! LEFT I SAID! I see something in front of that guitar player's house...

funny you say that... aren't UPS trucks the ones that only turn right during their routes? (minus a turn around in a culdesac maybe) :icon_biggrin:

I drive buses for a living and in Australia the doors are on the left, and our school bus routes MUST have turns that have the kiddies getting out on the correct side of the road, so lots of left turns....... It is actually illegal for the bus to have a bus stop where the kids will have to cross the road to board or get off, at the school or terminus destination. In the USA that would correlate to right turns....and with UPS doing deliveries and wanting to maintain efficiencies, that would involve a similar route planning principle.. Not so weird if you think about it.

Pix when you are ready would be nice...

Yeah, my experience with DiMarzio Customer Service was good too. They identified an old DiMarzio I had within 24 hours from photos I sent them via email. Nice to know I had an original DiMarzio Super 2. :icon_thumright:
TBH, that sort of good service did change my view about DiMarzio: the company.... I had heard of their legal stoushes with Kinman and wasn't overly impressed that they allegedly tried to pull a stunt like copying his patents, but now, well, they seem to do well in customer service so maybe not so much the "evil empire" impression I had.

I for one, LOVE dimarzio. The origional Evo pickups were soo responsive and light sounding it was a dream to hear them in action. To bad i sold that guitar...

Just to add to the DiMarzio love: I recently e-mailed them about some pickup recommendations based on what I was thinking. Not only did they respond to me quickly - one of their tech guys was corresponding with me back and forth for a few e-mails on a sunday afternoon. That had me really impressed. I know I don't even THINK about my work mailbox on the weekends.

I did a double take, my mind thought it as VIP at first. :-)

Great looking body and neck, can't wait to see it finished.

sounds a lot like where i live. i'm right between DC and Baltimore. everybody who lives around here commutes to one or the other. my tiny one-lane-in-both-directions road is ALWAYS flooded with traffic after about 3PM. i absolutely hate it

Sounds like Spencerville Rd between New Hampshire and Columbia Pike -  :sad1:

pretty damn close! i live on 124, which is larger near the beltway, but is just a dinky 2 lane road where i live. it's almost impossible to get out of my driveway during rush hour!

Posted up some pics at http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=13458.0

I'll post up better ones when my good camera recharges.
