Ouch!!!! and it would have to happen on a neck with binding....That would be my luck to..So I'd imagine that's why manufacturers put frets in before attaching fretboard. I'd say in the future you might need a jig to set the heel in before a fret job... :dontknow:

Whoa, that sucks! I feel for ya Bro. On the up side, I was looking for a 21 fret Modern Construction Gibson scale neck. I may have just found someone who can make that happen! :laughing3:

Yeah, I've already given that some thought. Haven't made up my mind exactly what I want yet. But, I've got a bunch of necks here already that need fretting, and many more to come, I'm sure. So, something must be done.

    Sorry to hear of your fretboard woes.....all is not lost however.  I've heard of a little company named Warmoth Guitar Products that provides replacement necks.  Maybe even in some sort of exotically cool kind of wood species
