hey
i have a warmoth 24 3/4 neck on the way and i wanted to get started on the body work
does anyone know where should i place the bridge i mean at what distance from the top of the neck pocket?
and while i'm at it what is the pocket's size for a bolt on neck?
thanks

Ah - 24 3/4 inches from the nut. I wouldn't measure from the top of the pocket but rather from the nut once the neck is attached and straight.
Pocket dimensions - http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Bodies/Options/GuitarNeckPocket.aspx

Point of order here.  Is that a 'conversion neck'?  If so, please understand conversion necks are designed to go on 25.5 scale bodies.  Here's a brief explanation of these necks: http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Necks/ConversionNecks.aspx

Tfarny is point you in the right direction.  Is this a custom body build?

i got the info for conversion necks still, does it mean i can messure my fender and place the bridge at the same distance?
the body hasn't been made yet if thats the question i'm just now getting started with it i have my own design i just needed
to know where to drill the holes for the bridge

Hi There,  A simple procedure for establishing bridge position on any guitar is as follows... If you dont know the scale of the guitar, measure from the "Nut" fingerboard side to the top of the 12th fret, whatever this figure is double it and you have your scale...The bridge starting point for intonation will be half the scale so if you measure half the scale from the top of the 12th Fret wherever your figure comes to this is where the top and middle of the bridge saddle should be.  (Example) if your scale is 25.5 then half will be 12 3/4" so from the top/middle of the 12th fret measure 12 3/4" and that is where the middle of the bridge saddle should be.    So for the warmouth neck of 24 3/4"  half this 12.375" this is where the top/middle of the bridge should be from the top of the 12th fret.

Desperatedan.

...by the way, I´m in the same exact boat. Been waiting 4 weeks now for my neck and I´m going nuts. I´ve got a piece of mahogny just waiting to be worked on, but don´t think I dare to start routing before I have the neck to trace.
How long have you been waiting?
