Boxer Strat inspired

Getting ready for the next build. No finishing this time 😮‍💨

So here are the parts, I'm still missing the tuning keys. The build is inspired by the Fender Boxer Strat but with some tweaks. The neck is an old Wamoth neck that I scalloped and I love it. The body is a no name reverb poplar body. This guitar will be my first single humbucker guitar. I need to route the Floyd Rose cavities, which is kind of scary to be honest.

But the big question is: Which humbucker should I go with? I'm trying to decide between the Duncan Distortion, DiMarzio Super Distortion, Duncan Screamin' Demon and Gibson Tony Iommi. Another idea is to put the Screamin' Demon in my maple body superstrat (Warmoth body/Kramer neck) which now has a Gibson Dirty Fingers and use the Dirty Fingers in this one. I really don't know what to go with in this one. Any ideas are welcome.

So here are the parts and the potential donor guitar for the Dirty Fingers:

Super short update as I've done nothing yet 😋

Decided to go with the Dirty Fingers on this one.

I put the Screamin Demon in the white one since that pickup was intended to be used in maple bodies in the first place (George Lynch style). That guitar now has a more vintage sound. Seymour Duncan describes the Screamin Demon as a PAF with overwound coils and hex pole pieces. It's a very nice sound, not my favorite but definitely a cool sound. Sometimes I get Les Paul vibes now with it. I'll keep it like that, it's nice to have a guitar with a vintage twist among the rest.

There's always the Dunkin Invader to listen to and consider. Yeah it was meant more for a "punk" sound sure but it's on the "hot list" of distortion-buckers for me. Then again I'm spoiled too have an old Carvin H22 (at least I think that's where they called in the early 80s... Been awhile since I looked at the ole catalog) bridge pickup as old as me 😁
