Canary doesn't need a finish - you can play it raw. If you are concerned about how it might age (sweat marks etc..) you can always oil it.

BTW most of the exotic neck woods supplied by Warmoth don't need a finish.  Check out some of the other posts on the forum on these.

Yes, I'm not kidding when I say that unfinished necks are vastly superior.  They're so much faster and more comfortable, it's ridiculous.  I especially love Bloodwood.  If you were local to me, I'd show you what I mean.

Sometimes it happens w/out trying because pieces overlap that touch grounded parts.

about the neck, the tele deluxe body has a strat neck pocket on it. i think you could still make a tele neck work find with few problems, but i just thought i'd throw that out there.

and canary sounds great, from what i've heard. was very close to buying one for a guitar i'm working on now. still thinking about it  :icon_biggrin:  i love exotic necks
