Thanks for the inspiration on the name, Bunsen lol. Shes not quite a he, nor is she blue, but she's close enough for me!  Figured it was time to move this thing on over to this forum.

Why thank u sir!  I used to think Carvin was king of clear maple tops, but Warmoth can hold its own here!  This top was the plainest I could find!  It came out well beyond my expectations.

Tomorrow, I'll install the strap locks, shield the cavity and wire it up. The neck is going to take a while and is coming from a different vendor. The headstock will have a matching quilted veneer. Stoked!

The look I'm gunning for is inspired by the 1950's, but with a more modern twist. We shall see how she turns out!

Hey, if help or inspiration can be had in the form of a clever movie reference, I'm your guy, haha! I've really been enjoying watching this one come together.

That's so hawt, I wanna take it out behind the laundromat and get it pregnant

Thanks brotha!  Got her all wired up and ready for the neck. Just need to install the strap locks and it comes down to waiting for the neck.

Very good looking thing there! I havent really been into the Velocity model before, but this almost gets me inspired to get one.

Cheers

^Thank you!
Here she is with the "temporary" neck. I've noticed the modern truss rod necks do not resonate as freely as the vintage models, but the sound is still very nice. It's a bit like the experience you'd get driving a Lexus - a bit disconnected in feel, but great performance.

This is my first Wolfgang neck with 1-11/16" nut width.  Wow, she's really fast and comfy.  I prefer the 59 profile, but I don't miss it when I'm playing this one - and that says something.

Color is almost spot on, though the top is a bit less amber in person

Ms Nesbit (in background) eagerly awaits her new stable mate. This pic is spot on color wise.  Jackplate appears to be bowed in this pic, but this isn't visible in person.

Finished experimenting with switching scheme - need to do final coats of shielding paint.

Thank you, man!  That's HUGE coming from you. I was aiming at something I'd never seen before and pretty much nailed it.  Have a RW/Maple 3x3 neck being made right now that should be a better match (will have matching headstock veneer!), so I'm really stoked.  It gets amazing Tele, Strat, and LP'ish tones.  Very sweet through the amp it's sitting in front of!

Man, there is a whole lot of awesomeness happening there. Beautiful job on the wiring! So, a super-switch and a push/pull, whatcha got going on there?

Thanks man!  Push pull splits the bridge. Super switch does this:

1- bridge full
2- bridge split + middle
3- neck + split bridge
4- neck + middle
5- neck

Also lets hunbucker see the volume pot as 500k and single coils, 250k.
