Hi

Here is my Blue Burst Tele body and neck I got from the Showcase. It took only 6 days since the day I ordered and when it hit my doorsteps. I live in Iceland, Europe.

One piece Swamp Ash.
One piece Maple neck (high grade flame and some birdsey as a bonus), standard thin, abalone inlays, black Graphtec nut, 6105 regular frets.
Vintage Tele bridge (Gotho or regular, I ordered both).
Gotho vintage tuners.
Seymour Duncan Broadcaster bridge (STL-1b) and maching Vintage Neck pickup (STR-1).

It´s just a basic guitar, but I don´t own any Telecasters and not a single blue guitar either. :)

I have a custom build strat on the way also, and that one is more fancy with all the bells and whistles.

Sexxxy.  Congratulations on your excellent taste, and on the very rapid shipping as well.

Awesome! We need more blue guitars! Only thing I don't really like is the abalone inlays. I think my taste for abalone was ruined when I got an EC-1000 that has WAY too much abalone. I don't know what I saw in the guitar before i bought it. AWESOME guitar, but abalone is to guitars as sequin dresses are to Vanna White.

I normally don´t like abalone inlays either and blue guitars for that matter...hehe, but It´s nice to have one Blue guitar. :)

I think those inlays match the colour of the body very well, they have shades of blue and green like the body. I also have 12 other guitar so I was going for something different this time......abalone inlays, blue body and so forth. The Tele is my first parts guitar.

I only have 1 guitar with maple, so it was ideal to have the Tele with maple, but normally I like rosewood or some dark material.

Don't get me wrong. These inlays look good. Unfortunately on my EC-1000 its giant flag inlays and an abalone binding as well so it sparkles like a disco ball.

Loving all the blue teles popping up around here!!!  :eek:ccasion14:

Blue guitars period! I'm so sick of seeing natural colors(as beautiful as they are). I LOVE BLUE! Go to guitar center and find 1 transparent blue guitar. You can't. Aside from the always present ibanez acoustics.

Sweet. I would not have thought of putting a pick guard on a burst finish, but the black pick guard is going to make it more subtle - the come and get me look. Keep the pics up!

Thank you for the comments.

About the pickguard, I like classic look on guitars like Strats and Teles, and the pickguard is important part of that. I know it´s a shame to cover a beautiful finish, but on my upcoming "Strat" that is backrouted and has figured maple top, I will not use a pickguard, and I will not think of it as a strat....though it has the same outlines. :)

Teles with no rout between cavities really don´t need a pickguard, but some Teles have that rout between neck pickup slot and electronic cavity. Why are some Teles like that and some not? Are Warmoth only ones that just drill a small home between the cavities for the pickup wire?

And by the way, I have set everything up for assembly, so I´ll make a thread in the "Work in Progress" section. :)

Very nice  :icon_thumright:

I think the route between the pickup cavities on a tele is a vintage thing ... Warmoth offer it as a 'feature' on their vintage tele bodies.

No way man, I love all of that abalone binding... If I needed another hole in my head (aka guitar) - I really the like ESP Edwards
strat copies with all that glorious abalone binding!  Mmmmm... abalone binding...abalone inlay...  :headbang1:

BTW Gilmore... have you ever heard of CCP? (a video game company in Iceland)

Wow....those are nice inlays.

I´ve heard of CCP of course, but I don´t play EVE. ;)

Aren't they? I could do without the gold hardware... but thats why they make Ruthenium.

And you should play EVE its a great (rather, was a great) game... On second thought... stay away!

I've kind of gone off the Maple necks ... But I must say, that just looks great on that Tele, great colour combo. Very very nice.  :icon_thumright:
Keep the pic's coming ...

Oh No   now I wanna build a Tele.  :icon_jokercolor:
