Bloodwood

I was just playing with the neck builder, designing my perfect neck (as I often do,) and I noticed that bloodwood is available for Warmoth Pro construction necks but there is no description of it in the 'neck woods' section.

So... what can anyone tell me about it, in terms of tone, feel, density etc.

IIRC bloodwood is also known as satine, is hard and dense, and has a brightness to it similar to maple...I think...

I remember it showing there as a option...

Marko can come here and say well about them, he had one and loved it...
But it's very dense and the tone will be bright, it's very alike Ebony, grain wise IIRC

Yes, all I can say is.....  :headbang1:

Ah yes, you're right, its listed as Satine, and then they say it's also called bloodwood.

Wonder if it would be too bright for a Tele neck?

that would depend on the tele body, oh and guitars have tone controls when used right they can do wonders

And the pickups, specially.

I got a parouk/bloodwood neck ready to go here on a black korina strat. body that is ready to be finished.
I'm guessing it's going to be very close to ebony in sound as a fretboard wood.
