That's pretty sweet.  The 2nd shot had me thinking the flowers were in the finish, a la the Mayfly XII.

same here... had me look twice.. actually 3 or 4 times!! Nice Steve Vai/Mayfly reference.. if it was actually on your guitar
love how it tuned out anyway!

Haha yeah I was like "Oh cool flowers!".

That's a sick guitar man :eek:ccasion14:

Add one of these to your Wilky / Raw Vintage and revel in the improved tone.
I have the exact same as you and it's now my fave trem ever.

I am loving the dark brown and cream combination. Really nicely done, sweet build  :icon_thumright:

That's a really nice guitar!!!

Did you finish that yourself?

Thank you and it was a showcase body already finished.  I did finish the neck with a couple coats of tung oil however.

That is one nice looking project you have done there, LA.  :icon_thumright:

How does the Wilky trem feel and did you get the suggested brass block for it?

I love the Wilkie trems ( I have one on my VIP as well) as the lay nice and I like to put my hand on it, so there are no screws or anything to get caught on.  And with the Raw Vintage springs, the hold in tune nicely.

I have not looked at buying the brass block yet as it seems that the cost was nearly as much as the entire trem was in the first place, so I'll have to save up some money for that (birthday is coming up in October).  Then I'll probably switch over both guitars to the brass block.
