Black to clear burst on korina? Please say it can be done!!!

FINALLY decided on a finish for my upcoming project:

Black-to-clear burst on Black Korina.

The question is: can it be done, and will Warmoth do this?

Very cool, all but the headstock...

As for the finish, I would think you'd have to do a fade around the edges in black then cover in clear.... :icon_thumright:

I wouldn't see why not.  It's basically just a burstover like they do on dyed tops.  I'm sure they could do it, but it wouldn't be without protest.  Covering Korina?  Come on.

Normally, a protest would be in order, but if done like he's got it in the pic. That could be acceptable, mostly just black around the edges anyway.... :dontknow:

I've seen brown-to-clear bursts on the showcase occasionally. Give em a call and see.
