Had a disappointing trip to my local Woodcrafters and newly opened Rocklers.  No black korina/Limba.
More concerning, the gentleman I talked to at Rocklers had not even heard of it.
Looking for a couples pieces of scrap to try some finishes on.  Thoughts?

The Hardwood Store in Gibsonville,NC often has it. I don't know about shipping or less than minimum orders but I have been able to walk in and scrounge for Mahogany scraps before. I don't think the exotics tend to have a lot of scrap though. Worth a call.

Depending on what you're concerned with, Ash might be an acceptable substitute. Similar grain/color until you get into some of the more unique examples.

This is probably in the next galaxy for you and I don't know if they will mail stuff but you could give these guys a call. Their website does not highlight it but they have lots of woods in stock and I have picked up up some small chunks of both Cocobolo and Ebony there. I vaguely recall seeing Limba. Not  a sure thing but a possibility and they may charge for a board foot if they have to cut it off a plank. But I've seen Bubinga and Purpleheart there so they may have something. Family run business.
