Binding DIY

it's not a job for the timid, that's for sure. You might want to read up on it a bit. There are a couple good articles on it here and here, and here's a video

I have always been a believer in Karl Bindings theory of retributive justice...
I live in Phoenix, the home of Joe Arpaio.  I have tried to get this theory across to Joe, but he just  :laughing11:

Hehe! Good luck with all that. I suspect dramatically more people are sympathetic to Bindings' outlook than would ever admit it, but I'm not going to hold my breath while waiting for it to become mainstream thought.

I'm not sure:

Personally I prefer my Burton step in bindings......  But I used to be a ski and snowboard instructor, so I had to get out of my bindings all the time..... so I went with a step in setup......  We had Rossignol rental junk at the mountain I worked at!  I use these..... the PSI

Finally got rid of an old set of K2 clickers I bought in 1999.
Boot blew out in Tahoe, and I needed new gear NOW.
Step in bindings never really took off, unfortunately.

I'm a former two planker and often ride with other skiers.
Clicking in on the lift was great, but those Clicker boots really were not very comfortable.

They never standardized like the ski industry did; I think that was the downfall.
Still seem to be popular with rental stuff though.

Sorry smavridis, had to throw that out there.

Regarding the other binding:
Check out the stuff StewMac sells for binding.
Seems to be all about getting a proper route.

+1. i don't know a whole lot of binding, but i think i'd start with a few days of google searches and research AND start shopping on stewmacs website. they have a ton of stuff for applying binding and routing for it. still don't think i'd ever trust myself with it though
