Greetings,

One of my Warmoths has a roasted maple neck that, unlike the other 2 necks on the other 2 Warmoths I have, wasn't TruOiled, and is showing mung on the fretboard.

Recommendations on best way to clean it and remove the mung?

Naphtha and a soft cloth or paper towel.  Old tooth brush and naphtha on the frets .  be gentle.    Dry 15 mins.  Then light coat of mineral oil.  I do that once a year.

Excellent.....thank you!

Sorry to be contrarian B-Rob (or should that be Brob?) but I would not use steel wool anywhere near a guitar.  Why?  be cause the filings get stuck on the pickups and in the potentiometers.  Don't ask me how I know...

If you've a hankering for steel wool, may I suggest a non-metallic alternative.

I'm betting rubbing the frets with a paper towel that's dampened with the naphtha will do the trick.

yah, good call. probs shouldve mentioned to tape off your pup (pick ups) with not very sticky tape to keep em safe if ur gonna use #RealSteel.

Like sunscreen. Nobody tells u sunblock works best when you apply it to a window while indoors

Can we trust Mr B Rob on the sunscreen?

of course!  He's a noted indoor sunscreen authority figure!*

* he's actually the only indoor sunscreen authority figure - which of itself is of note
