not a great shot.. but it was handy

After

Basically, changed black to nickel on the hardware, changed the neck, changed the pickguard.  The neck REALLY brightened the tone a lot.  Had to actually lower the neck pickup just a little.  This could be #1 for a while.  I really like the baseball bat fatback neck.  Tone... thick, but still bright.  Tone controls now usable.  Didn't have to tweak a thing in the electronics.

You send them a logo, they build the body around it. Kinda like a ship in a bottle or Poire Williams.

I like the CB logo in the cut. Wonder how they arranged THAT  :guitaristgif:
or you get a pair of forceps and stick it in there

Hell, I just used my fingers.  The logo was printed on regular paper, lightly stained, hit with polyU a few times, then stuck on with woodglue.

love that thing! what is the bridge pickup? it looks like one of the dimarzio 36th anniversary PAFs. is that what it is, or is it just aged? and if so, how do you like it? nice looking guitar!

ah, i had one of those in the gibson bfg i had a while back. awesome pickup. hot enough for metal, but not too high output so it's cleans were pretty impressive too. i almost miss that pickup more than i miss the rest of that guitar

Nice. Presumably it was a Phat Cat type of single coil pickup for the bridge before the changeover.  Are you using 250k pots for both the P90 and humbucker ?
