ok weird question..i saw on the internet that there are some basses with this wood combo. i cant really find any guitars/sound samples of this. i'm just curious as to what it sounds like.

It'd probably sounds like a bass guitar.  The body wood isn't as pivotal as you're making it out to be.  I'd check playing style & pickups before worrying about wood.

You are curious what what sounds like? Body woods mean very little, and everything else that you didn't specify means everything.

Lots of guitars have Basswood bodies. You should have no trouble finding soundclips.

What they ^ said. The only thing I'd add is Basswood is relatively soft compared to most body woods, so it'll dent more easily. But, if you hit it hard enough to dent it, you'd at least chip any other finish as well.

The basswood would certainly lighten up the bass as far as weight.  Depending on the finish, that combo may be more to give the appearance of an all mahogany bass but not necessarily feel like one.  It is a popular tonewood for guitars by many progressive builders, but it's fragile, soft nature leaves me from recognizing any tonal advantage.

Not to dogpile on the discouragement of it's use, consider this.  The Fender Precision Bass, Jazz Bass, and EBMM Stingray all have a similar platform.  They have either an alder or ash body and are paired with either a maple/maple or maple/rosewood neck, and they are all distinctly different sounding basses despite their similarities. The differences are attributed to the pickups and electronics.
