I was just looking at eBay over the weekend to see if there were any new Warmoth bargains on the go, sadly there weren't. So I decided to have a quick look on Gumtree (similar to Craigslist in the UK) and what popped up? A used Warmoth V-R body with no mention of wood type (it turned out to be Alder) in gloss black routed for two humbuckers and a floyd, Warmoth maple/rosewood Jackson style neck with floyd locking nut and Schaller tuners. The price for the two items? £50 (about $78 dollars)!!! Is this the bargain of the year? When I contacted the guy he also said that he had a cheap licensed floyd that he would sell for an additional £20 ($32) and it turns out to be a Takeuchi Floyd which I know nothing about??? Has anyone else ever managed to pick up a total bargain like this before?
