Badass II compatibility?

Spoke to Brian the W today about a bass body... I mentioned that I wanted to put a Badass II bridge on it.  He said they'd had complaints that the outer two holes for the standard Fender bridge drilling (Gotoh 201 I suppose) didn't quite match the BA bridge... off by maybe 1/16".  He recommended I drill it myself.

Has anyone run into this sort of issue before?  LQ says the bridge retrofits Fender basses...

I always believed the BA ll would match right in  :icon_scratch: but I use the Gotoh 201s anyway, I like them a lot  :icon_thumright:

Put a Badass II on my old mexican Jazz bass, not a 100% fit, the two outer screws were a tiny bit off(as mentioned). But didn't have any problems. Well within limits of retrofit I guess :icon_biggrin:. I don't know if I'm experiencing hardware placebo or not but i just love the BA II !!
