Congratulations, and welcome to the clubhouse.  Your new axe sounds like it'll be the bee's knees.

Please tell me you sprung for stainless frets!  If you didn't, and it's not too late, phone in a change to your order.  Your life will be much better that way.

Peace

Bagman

Congratulations because you're going to have an awesome guitar.

Condolences because you will never have any extra money again.  It all goes to Warmoth from now on!

Bagman I did kinda mull over the stainless frets but didnt go with them! Never have found much feedback on them as far as pros and cons. But would like some more info! message me with your input please!  :help:

Hannaugh I know what  you mean!! Already looking at the next one for next year!! So im workinga full time job at the FD and then two more part time jobs to boot!!! :glasses10:

I got my first two necks with stainless frets in the last year and it's really a distinct improvement, at least with respect to regular six-string guitar.

They feel a bit more slick when bending but honestly I don't notice much of a difference in playing or tone. The guitar with the stainless frets is actually quite a bit darker sounding. The real difference I notice is that my stainless fretted neck doesn't have huge gouges in the frets where the standard neck does.

Before I bought my first neck with stainless frets, I did a lot of research on them and found that most of the people who had bad things to say about them weren't people who actually owned necks with stainless frets on them. They were generally people who'd played some wild, off-the-wall thing like a Parker Fly with stainless frets, a carbon fiber neck, inverse holographic pickups, anti-gravity tuners and laser-guided ethernet signal paths. Of course, it was all the fret's fault they sounded the way they did...

The reality, of course, is much different. There's little or no effect on tone, but playability and lifespan are dramatically enhanced.

YES! You're going to LOVE that bass. You need to post pictures. If you ever feel like offing it to fund another, I'll buy it. Cause I want it already.  :cool01:

Very excited to see this come together, as I really have huge GAS for a 5 string.

Tipperman its going to be a nice one for sure! I spent about a month researching and deciding on alot of specs for it. Im going to put Nordstrand Fatstacks in it with a push/pull switch for active/passive selection with a nordy preamp as well. It will have the Takeuchi string thru bridge, black Gotoh Tuners. Hopefully it will provide me with the sounds and tones Im wanting to get! But she will be a beauty for sure! Hopefully Ill see it by the end of March!
