Hello to all
My name is Andrew and I write from Italy.
Even I have to tell my story so that alert other potential buyers from scams of these dishonest sellers.
I bought 2 handles stratocaster from ebay seller wickedcustomguitars.
I paid a total of $ 419 for both.

The seller asked me to pay it off from ebay through paypal and I trusting of his feedback I did.
After about two stiimane I noticed by chance that handles the same, with the same description, the same photos and the same demands for payment had been made out of ebay from another seller .. our dear shansand5.

I contacted both vendors for an explanation.
I threatened to call ebay security and leave negative feedback.

These are the emails that followed between me and wickedcustomguitars:

I found another seller (shansand5) who has on sale both necks that I have already paid.
I expect your explanation within 12 hours and after release two negative feedback and contact the ebay assistance to suspend your account

-Sorry to inform you that my supplier has not shipped any of the necks I sold for him on ebay but he has collected the money and relisted from a different account! My apologies I am in the process of trying to get him shut down and reimbursed!

This is what happened.
I opened a dispute with paypal and leave negative feedback to warn users about what's going on ebay.
I contacted ebay support to close the auction of shansand5 and I did .. for now ..
I'm frustrated .. I have many years on ebay and never happened to me a problem.
I would like to ask the forum members if they can help me in this unfortunate situation suggesting any process to take.
I have to sweat the money you try to save and when I meet people like these I want to scream
American law is tough against fraud and avevdo paid with a credit card I believe that the payment can be tracked and traced back to the guilty.

You need to raise a dispute with PayPal. Given that they guy has sent you emails telling you that you won't be getting the necks you should be in a pretty strong position.

That guy has been around ebay for a while under different names.  There have been threads here about him (4Monkeyz, Frankenstraat, xxxoticwoods).  All bad news.  Stay away.

I too purchased a really beautiful Kingwood neck from 4monkeyz and had no challenges.  It is the neck on my Black Dog tele.
However, after I made the purchase, I came across a few internet postings about others that did have problems with that individual.
I was sweating it, but all ended up well.  :dontknow:

This person is very famous on the internet
I found out that he cheated hundreds of people using many names and different accounts on ebay

His name is James Duffy and he's done this to a LOT of people.

paypal, holds the money of most buyers for a short time before giving it to the seller, so you can contact them incase of a scam.

Yikes, this isn't too far from me. We do have a lot of counterfeits on my local CLs and surrounding areas - wonder if this guy is one of the schemers.

Let me know if you want me to stop by and see if its a legit shop. Though it seems like he is long gone.
