Since they seem about the same size as the LP, I'm wondering how body-heavy they will be. I'm not going for a chambered body, solid, with a quilt top. Neck is Maple + Kingwood if that makes and difference?! Cheers again guys! :toothy10:
tfarny asked the same question I was wandering... whats body heavy? Neck heavy refers to a condition where the weight of the neck, combined with the balance of the guitar and position of the strap posts results in the guitar neck falling when not supported by your hand, meaning you have to hold the neck up. My Epiphone SG is like that.
'as heavy as les pauls' is a ridiculous remark, because les pauls can be VERY lightweight, which is often the case, and strats can be also very heavy. a strat will most likely be arond 3.5 to 4 kilo's and a les paul too. it just 'feels' heavier because the body is more compact.
but a VIP can be as much as a les paul or a strat or a tele. its a guitar made of mahogany and maple, afterall.
