Archie - Forest Fire Roasted Pine Telecaster

The original faux-wood PG is starting to grow on me now :)

I don't think you can put tru-oil over top of a plastic clearcoat - maybe with a transition layer of shellac or something?
But I think the pine body looks great the way it is now...

Forgot to mention the 4 1 1/4" screws used to secure the bridge to the body.

Between the weight of the bridge and the screws going into a 1 3/4" thick body that should make a difference.

Personally I've always had a thing about material trying to look like other material, kinda fake to me. Plastic looking like wood or marble or whatever; Tile looking like Wood; Cowhide embossed to look like Alligator or Ostrich; a Person looking like a Potato.....
I think a plain black one would look great and let the real pine take center stage. Just me though......

I agree with you. Definitely want the pine to take center stage.

Don't think I didn't catch that Hagwood.

I see what you did there.

Is that knot filled with clear and smoothed by Warmoth or can ya feel it

I really like how this build is sort of OEM+. Like okay it’s a natural finish Tele with a black guard… but it’s fire roasted pine and the guard is leather. Same DNA, individual expression.

It's not filled, but it is smooth. I don't think you would feel it if you rested your hand or forearm on it.
