i'm really not a fan of birdseye  :sad1:  but to it's credit i did have a wolfgang who's birdseye neck was much much prettier in person than i had anticipated! it definitely looks great with a clear coat, but i don't know about that burst.

anyway, i remember one guy had his dad's or uncles strat passed down to him that had a nice birdseye top on it. can't seem to find it though

I've got one on my Tele.  However it is greatly understated because I have a Transparent finish and not a Dye on it.

^ i've seen that guitar before but had no idea it was a transparent finish! i like it a lot, though. it's too bad there isn't just a bit more of the birdseye showing through, but i love the color of it.

Thanks.  I guess it is really dependant on how much figure you can get.  That burst is cool but it is really hard to see on the tele.

Dye vs. Transparent.  Also, like the necks, there are different grades.
