Anyone like watches?

Ha, no the strap is new. Good catch.
needs a different strap, then. something dead simple, or if you find something geometric to match the typeface . . . not feelin the marbly leather look (im sure marbly is a hideously incorrect term, but you catch my meaning).

Always liked watches. spent $40 when I was 10 on a skeleton pocket-watch from Kohl's. (nothing francy, but it had gears I could see and was wind-up so no batteries. I had heart attack at age 11 when it stopped working, and I took it apart only to discover that it had plastic in it, and that the whole mechanism was as big as a quarter. the watch was significantly bigger, but the front and back windows were quarter sized. needless to say, I completely disassembled it for fun, and never found the problem or put it back together.)

I like metal straps, I d not know why, I had a few leather straps when I was a teenager but since then have always bought metal
I do like mechanical watches better than battery operated ones also, but my current mechanical watches  are all perpetual drives, so I have a few auto winders in the bed room, sometimes it is funny watching them twisting around in the containers when you have been...... err never mind.

Did someone say Anyone Like Watches?!! I love mechanical watches and have a little bit of a collection. I've also been working on what will be a vintage watch coffee table book (I'm a designer, and am doing all the photos). Here is the oldest wristwitch in my collection: a Movado from the 1920s; all original:

That is one HAIRY arm!  :icon_jokercolor:

I don't actually like watches.
I just wear them as a fashion thingy.
My favorite are swatches.
