The 7/8 is 24 fret with the 24th fret overhang similar to the 22nd fret overhang on a standard scale body. For the Soloist to have 24 frets, you'd need the neck pickup repositioned for the extended overhang. So, to sum up and confuse, the 7/8 with 24 fret neck and 24 3/4" scale looks comparable to the fret access of the Soloist 22 fret with 25.5" scale (or 24 3/4" conversion neck).
For the best access, see if the rumor is true and pay the upcharge for a 7/8 scale bridge relocation and put a 7/8 scale neck on it. 24 frets with the least amount of overhang.
