Hi,
I need to install some vintage style Fender tuners.
Anyone knows if there is a jig available for the screws' holes (not tuner holes) ?
My problem is that I can't get the holes in the "between/overlapping" tuners, where it's half open,
look the way I want.
Always feel the screw hole is not exactly in the middle.
Searched but couldn't find anything.
Thanks for you help.

Not that I am aware of. Try using a ruler or something along the edge of the tuners as a straightedge to keep the edges of the tuners aligned lengthwise and that should help.

Yup, mount the tuners with the ruler method, then use a centerpunch to start the hole.
From there, a drill press should suffice.

Thanks, did it work out?

I'm not happy with the thin metal ruler I have, to use as a straightedge, so I've ordered a thick alloy block (which is usually used as a blank material for cnc) to do the job, with some other tools... so I'm waiting till they arrive.

OK let us know how you get on...

Late to the party, but a trick that I've stumbled into is placing a strip of masking or painter's tape across the holes on the rear of the head stock and then peeling it back halfway, revealing the tuner holes and the tape's adhesive edge.  You then place your tuners into the holes and the bodies end up on the sticky tape.  Take your ruler and line them up.  You can now punch or drill your holes without disturbing the placement of the tuners.  Another bonus is that removing the tape also removes all the wood shavings.
