Any Experience with a Walnut Neck?

I'm trying to decide about a neck for my Black Korina Strat. After looking at all the specs, I know many here like Wenge/Ebony with BK. I'm not so sure though. The guitar is more like a Gibson. Two humbuckers with tuneomatic/stoptail.... all on a Strat.

I'm leaning torwards a Black Korina neck with Ebony, or a Walnut neck with Ebony.

Anyone have experience with a Walnut neck?

No experience with walnut, but raw necks are recommended. A raw wenge neck feels great, from what I've heard here.

I believe walnut necks are said to be on the bright side, maple-like. I don't have one, though.
Why not wenge? It is so cool. And unfinished is definitely the way, I believe walnut needs a finish and I know korina does too.

I'm pretty sure walnut needs a finish. Even if it doesn't, it looks boring without one.
