Hello to all

Has anyone ever done a finish on Mahogany that is similiar to Andy Timmons AT300 (Ibanez) - which Ibanez calls Antique Violin?

I really like the look on Mahogany? Is finishing mahogany in a burst or dye very difficult?  Easier than spraying?

Also, if I were to order finished from WM, what burst would you say nost closely resembles an "antique violin" finish?

thanks for your time,
Kurt

The black-red-yellow burst looks the closest to me. But not quite the same.

Tobacco Burst can work very well, I think...

(Black Korina here)

(a darker Black Korina here, to you know how much can it vary....)

Or Tiger Eye...

The Black-Yellow or Black-Brown Yellow or Black-red-yellow would be a nice try too...

thanks for the visuals!!!!!!

That really helps.

I think my next project is going to go this route.  I haven't decided yet - but either a tele in rear mount or a soloist body??????

Oh well, Probably do this in 2009!

But it's nice to dream now....
