Les Paul Guitar Pick Gibson Les Paul Rare Pick 1932 Rare
"This has been in my collection for the last 5 years & is very rare.
I also have the full owner's background on this pick.
I was told that les paul was not happy about this guitar pick with his name on it back then, but do not know much more about it, but its old and very rare & belongs in a museum or even hard rock cafe las vegas.
didnt want to part with this, but I have some bills to pay.
This deal is for the guitar pick pictured only!
The guitar pick was once owned by Colorado State University botanist and author, H. D. Harrington
I bought it from his brother along with a 1932 Martin C-2, which I sold last year.
Gibson put a small number of these picks into circulation in the the early 50s, until Les Paul objected. Apparently they could not come to a licensing agreement, so production was halted and picks were withdrawn from sale.
See: http://herbarium.biology.colostate.edu/cobotanists.htm "Harrington was a self-taught violinist, as well as a player of the Spanish guitar and ukulele, which he brought along on CSU field trips to entertain his students."
Our info is that Mr. Harrington bought it new and after his death, it remained in the family until we bought the guitar-pick combo.
Hope you can find a good home for this gem!!
US $11,000.00
