So as I've seen quite a few times on this forum already, people are often maybe a little intimidated by what neck woods to use for a Black Korina body.
I'm looking into planning out my first build, going for a Black Korina Z Deluxe 5 with clear gloss finish, and thinking about what neck would compliment it.
I was originally going for a Maple Ebony combo just because I was used to the maple on my jazz bass, and I wanted more mids and highs with the lower toned body, but I was wondering if anyone else had other suggestions tonally? I saw Wenge and Ebony is a popular combo for Black Korina but was curious what they do to the over all tone.
The plan is to put a Seymore Duncan MM pickup on the bridge and a Sustainiac next to the neck incase that helps.
Many thanks in advance!
