I noticed that there was no box checked with the available options for Zebrawood but the description says that it sounds like maple when used as a core wood for the body.

Here's what I was thinking:

72 Thinline Tele
Zebrawood core body
MaHOGany Top (too dark)
Birdseye maple neck
Indian Rosewood fingerboard or other animal themed wood
With Full Scallop

Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P-90 pickups

Does this guitar have a chance?

and a pau ferret fingerboard ;)

don't forget the tiger eye finish (if you are going for quilt maple)

Here is a beautiful Zebrawood strat by Rex the Dog that I love...
Why cover up that Zebrawood with a slab of mahogany  :dontknow:
What ever you decide, be sure to post those pics.
Good luck on your build &  :rock-on:

I believe that's a tru-oil finish.

Why not... I tiger-striped (flame) maple, with tiger's eye dye?

Also, what is that red wood that comprises the neck of that zebrawood steat od yours?

Not my strat, but the neck is Padouk.
It starts out very red, but transitions to more of a brown color with age/use.

Nevermind where this topic is located, why is that amazing zebrawood/padouk strat a lefty? Don't they know that they're doin' it wrong?

doin' it wrong? :laughing3:
you can go grab something off the rack, moe, they're tailored for you :icon_thumright:

:laughing7: sorry I just HAD to

lol, my uncle had an old Fender Strat with a zebrawood body, so he had a local guy make a neck that felt/looked like a 59 LP and stuck her on there. It WOULD have been his main axe, but due to miscommunication, the guy only put on 21 frets. We call it "The Mutt", and she is a beautiful beast.

Sorry guys, got a little choked up for a minute there.
I can't believe I forgot about such an awesome bird!
He used to make this sound like "jeh jeh jeh-jeh" or "ggya ggya ggya" whenever he got excited.
I guess that's why I'm doing this.
Sucks when miscommunication leaves you with one less fret.
That's why I'm taking so long cause I won't get another shot for awhile.

They don't make pickups that sound like parakeets ("jeh jeh jeh") do they?

Snake Wood for the fret board.  :icon_thumright:

Is Snake Wood a real?

I think he's meaning Lacewood, but Warmoth only seem to offer that wood as a laminated top for a body, not as a fingerboard. Doesn't mean you can't change things around to accomodate it.  :icon_thumright:
