Angled Neck pocket

WOW..talk about vintage...to answer the questions:

YES...It fit perfect.  Be careful thought...there are many different kahlers.  Their route is for the 2300 series.  You shoujd be fine with the 2315/  That is the same model I got.

I did have to drill the mounting holes.  This took some measuring of the whammy to the left and right for string alignments , and also to make sure the intonation was aligned I treaked it up and down (this was easy because they are adjustable).  I also asked kahler to ship me a mounting template.  I still have it if you need one.

The neck angle was perfect...plays like a dream...and do not worry..I never get tired of showing it off.  Neck is birds eye and does not show up well in the photo.
  GOOD LUCK

thanks a million for your reply!  :occasion14:

what a red beauty!!!  she looks like she weighs more than Rosie + Oprah though  :o

I'll be ordering an alder Warmoth Star with the Kahler 2315 route....in satin black for thrash aesthetics  :headbang:

This neck angle Kahler issue has me wondering.  When a guitar gets retrofitted with one, does the neck have to get shimmed?  When Gilmour went from Vintage 6 hole trem to Kahler then back, how'd that work?

I would say shim.  Warmoth said that was an option but the angle was the way to go.  It is not much.  I think they said 2 degrees??

I had to shim an Ibanez I but a Kahler on.  I think I used a business card folded in 1/2. :guitaristgif:
