I'm looking to purchase an analog chorus pedal. Something warm, creamy, true with bypass with & a level knob for the effects level. Any suggestions?

AnalogMan Bi-Chorus, love mine.  :icon_thumright:

Can't really go wrong with the Small Clone, I used one for years, and I've missed it ever since I put it up on ebay

I think the Analogman pedal sounds like what I'm looking for. I have a few if his pedals & they all sound ultra vintage.

The Small Clone got nixed as soon as they kept harping that it was Kurt Cobains fave pedal & it's THE Nirvana sound. Just the stigma, now, makes me run towards another pedal.

It is, but the original is still a great piece of gear provided it works. Chances are, no matter what pedal you're looking at, some guitar player or band you dislike has used it at some point. It's not like you're required to play "Come As You Are" all day.

I just heard some demos of the MXR Stereo Chorus & they sounded amazing. The only problem is that it's not true bypass. Does anyone have this unti & does it suck out your tone at all?

I have two of them on my pedal board, work as advertised. They are not true "mechanical" bypass, but kind of in between. I never saw any signal issues with either of mine. Are you planning on turning it off and on while playing, or will it be on all the time?

I'll be turning it off & on.

I have the EVH MXR phase 90 & that sucks your tone like crazy, so I was wondering if the chorus does too. Is there a true bypass mod for the chorus? There's one for the EVH & I plan to get it done ASAP.

I had the Voodoo Lab chorus for years. I liked the Leslie effect when the controls were on maximum but it was coloring the sound too much and also was boosting the signal when it was on. I replaced it with the Analog Man Stereo Bi-Chorus http://www.buyanalogman.com/Bi_Chorus_p/am-bi-chorus.htm with the Depth Toggle Switch, the switch gives three different sounds. I use one side for subtle chorus and the other side for a Leslie sound. It's a transparent sounding pedal with true bypass. If you have two amps the stereo chorus + stereo delay is something you have to experience... :sign13:

They're pretty easy to convert to true bypass.

My bad, I got this thread and the Analog Delay threads mixed up. I run two MXR Carbon Copys on my pedal board, not two chorus pedals. I just use one Bi-Chorus.

These just came out, very small and sound pretty good
